ASI Newsletter Winter 2020

Dear Friends of ASI,

First and foremost, we’d like to thank you all for your continued support and feedback throughout this year. ASI cannot continue to operate without you, so thank you.

As we continue into the new year, we are excited to introduce many new classes and resources to students. Look out for these resources to be available on our website.

Wishing you a healthy and happy holiday break.

Our Plans for 2021

The safety of students and staff is our number one priority. In these uncertain times, Art Sphere will continue to provide families with free virtual classes, projects, and other resources. The ASI teams are regularly updating our YouTube channel and Tik Tok account with educational posts and resources.

As we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic, we will still be unable to hold in-person classes or events. ASI teachers will be utilizing software to prepare live classes on our website along with other resources.

MLK Day Volunteer Event

Celebrating diversity in the Arts by sharing research on people who inspire!

Celebrate with ASI at our virtual volunteer event on January 18th by sharing stories about diversity in the arts and helping to create an arts curriculum that inspires youth through online research. We will be facilitating this virtual event using a shared drive and meeting online at Google Meets to volunteer with others.

Why Your Support is Needed

Please consider donating to Art Sphere, Inc.

Art Sphere Inc. is volunteer run. We use donations to support our programs and to provide our students with take-home craft boxes filled with art supplies. We’ve found that when students have art supplies available, they are likely to share the lessons they learn at ASI programs with siblings, friends, and neighbors.

The recent CARES Act legislation provides incentives to give in 2020. Non-itemizers can deduct $300 ($500 if filing jointly) for charitable contributions in 2020. The charitable deduction limit for itemizers was also increased up to 100% AGI. Please consult your tax professional for details.
